Newark – The Delaware State Police are on scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:02 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2020 on Rt. 40 eastbound in the area of Brookmont Dr., Newark.

As a result of the crash Rt. 40 eastbound is closed at Brookmont Dr. The closure is expected to be lengthy and motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel.
