Dover– The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured suspect.
The incident occurred on October 23, 2019 at approximately 7:45 p.m., when Troopers responded to Red Tail Drive, Quails Nest, Dover for a report of a robbery. Two victims, a 74-year-old female and her 78-year-old husband were driving in their vehicle after returning from a restaurant in Dover, when the suspect suddenly sat up from the backseat of the vehicle and asked them to stop. A brief struggle ensued between the male passenger and the suspect over a purse that was located in the front seat. Both victims were able to exit the vehicle and realized the suspect was no longer inside.
The suspect was described as a black male, between 35-50 years of age, wearing a dark colored beanie and a white long sleeved shirt with an unknown clothing item slung over his left shoulder. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was possibly wearing a patterned shirt.
