Superintendent Colonel William D. Crotty

Wilmington – Delaware State Police detectives have arrested Cameron Pierce, 28, of Wilmington for a pair of armed liquor store robberies that occurred over the summer.
On July 26 and August 16, 2018 armed robberies were committed at Silverside Liquors, located at 1401 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington. In each incident a masked suspect entered the business brandishing a handgun and demanded money and alcohol.
Through various investigative leads and measures detectives developed Pierce as a suspect and were able to positively link him to both robberies. On October 31, 2018 he was taken in to custody without incident and transported to Troop 2, where he was charged with 2 counts each of Robbery 1st Degree and Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony. He was then arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court # 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $10,000.00 secured bail.
