State Troopers Investigating Shooting-Lincoln

Lincoln- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred earlier this morning in the Lincoln area.

The preliminary investigation has determined that the incident was reported around 12:56 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018, when Troopers were dispatched to a local area hospital in reference to a reported shooting.  The incident was reported to the State Police by the Hospital Emergency Section Staff. The incident is alleged to have occurred at approximately 12:00 a.m. when the victim was outside of his residence in the 22000 block of Pine Haven Road, when he sustained a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.  The victim, a 42-year-old male of Lincoln was transported to an area hospital by a personal vehicle where Detectives made contact with him.  The victim was treated and admitted to the hospital with a non-life threatening single gunshot wound.

No suspect information could be provided at this time.

This incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit.   If anyone has any information in reference to this incident, they are asked to please contact Detective T.
