Troopers Investigate Robbery of Wilmington Area Rite Aid

Rite Aid Robbery

Wilmington (19810) – Troopers are investigating a robbery of a Wilmington area Rite Aid that occurred early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:55 a.m., Sunday November 19, 2017 at the Rite Aid located at 1718 Marsh Road, as a male subject confronted a male employee as he was standing behind the counter. The suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun and demanded money.  The clerk complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled out of the store and ran southbound.  The store employee was not injured in the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 5’07-5’11” tall, 190-200 lbs., wearing a dark colored jacket, dark hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and had a mask covering his face (no further physical or clothing description). He was armed with an unknown type handgun.
