Troopers Conducting Investigation into Missing Swimmer – Update – Name Released

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police Major Crimes Unit has identified the 20-year-old Wilmington man who was reported missing after jumping into the Brandywine Creek on Monday, July 24, 2017, as Miguel Angel Del Valle.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing as members of the Delaware State Police Scuba Team, Talleyville Fire Company, and officers from the DNREC Natural Resources Police; State Parks Enforcement, continue to search the creek and surrounding area for Del Valle.

If anyone has any information in reference to this incident they are asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at Troop 2 at 302-365-8567.
