Detectives Seek Publics Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

NCC Robbery Suspect

Wilmington– The Delaware State Police Robbery Unit is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying a robbery suspect.

The black male suspect depicted in the surveillance photo is linked to at least three separate robberies in the Wilmington and Claymont areas as well as one in Upland, Pennsylvania.  The first of the three in Delaware occurred at the Walgreens located at 1508 Philadelphia Pike on July 3, 2016 (See original press release below).  The second occurred at the Walgreens located at 802 Philadelphia Pike on July 30, 2016 around 11:42 a.m. when he entered the store and confronted two employees and demanded cash.  They complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled out of the store.  The employees were not injured.

In a third incident that occurred earlier this morning around 9:30 a.m., Friday August 5, 2016, the suspect entered the Wawa located at 301 Ridge Road, Claymont, and approached the cashiers armed with an unknown type handgun. He demanded cash from the registers and safe and the employees complied by turning over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect then fled the store and entered a silver Ford Focus parked in the parking lot.  As he was driving away, he struck two civilian vehicles that were attempting to prevent his escape before fleeing northbound on Hickman Road.  No one was injured inside or outside the store as the suspect was escaping.

Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of an area pharmacy which occurred Monday evening.

The investigation has determined that the incident occurred on Monday, June 13, 2016, at approximately 7:20 p.m., as a male suspect entered the Walgreens located at 1508 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington. The suspect then approached a male clerk and implied that he was armed. He then demanded cigarettes from the clerk. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cigarettes to him. The suspect then exited the business and was last seen fleeing in an unknown make and model vehicle. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, 30-35 years of age. He was 5’10”-6’00” tall, weighed 160-175 lbs., and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts, and blue and white sneakers. There is no further physical or clothing description available at this time.
