State Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident in Middletown

The Delaware State Police is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Tuesday night in Middletown.
On August 25, 2026, at approximately 10:00 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the area of Marl Pit Road near Cedar Lane Road for a report of shots fired. During the investigation, troopers located spent shell casings in the roadway. There are currently no reported injuries or reports of property damage.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives ask anyone who witnessed the event or has information relevant to the case to contact Detective J. Lucyk at (302) 365-8446. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
