State Police Investigating Robbery of Bank Patron in Wilmington

The Delaware State Police is investigating the robbery of a bank patron Sunday night in Wilmington.

On August 9, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m., troopers responded to PNC Bank, located at 2203 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, for a reported robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was preparing to make a deposit when an unknown suspect approached, assaulted the victim, and demanded money. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim responded to an area medical facility and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit took over the case. Detectives are asking anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Detective Carroll at (302) 365-8467. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) 847-3333.
