Troopers Investigate Shooting in Milford

Milford – The Delaware State Police at the request of the Milford Police Department are currently investigating an incident in which a 31-year-old Millsboro man was shot outside a local area apartment building.

The preliminary investigation has determined the incident occurred on Sunday, June 18, 2017, at approximately 2:00 a.m., as troopers were called to respond to the Bayhealth at Milford Memorial Hospital Emergency Room for the report of a male subject shot in the lower extremity.

Through further investigation, troopers learned the man was shot in the unit block of Linstone Lane, Silverlake Estates Apartments after an argument between two other subjects. As the victim went to see what they were arguing about, an unknown person fired several shots in the area striking the victim. The victim left the scene and drove himself to the hospital where he was treated with non-life threatening injuries. No other individuals were injured as a result of this incident. No suspect description at this time.
