State Police Arrest Seaford Man for Assaulting EMT

News Release

The Delaware State Police have arrested 37-year-old Nathan Ennels of Seaford, Delaware, for assaulting a Blades Fire Company EMT.

On January 21, 2026, at approximately 10:50 p.m., troopers responded to the 10000 block of Serenity Circle in Seaford for a report of a combative person in an ambulance. When troopers arrived, they learned that a man, identified as Nathan Ennels, was being treated in the ambulance. While being treated, he punched an EMT in the face, damaging their glasses. Ennels was ultimately taken to an area hospital, and the EMT suffered minor injuries.

On January 22, 2026, Ennels was released from the hospital and taken to Troop 5. He was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
