Wilmington – Delaware State Police are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2021, on Route 2 (Kirkwood Highway) at the intersection to Delaware Park Drive. 

As a result of the crash, all lanes of eastbound Route 2 are closed between Wollaston Road and Delaware Park Drive. Additionally, the left lane and left turn lane on westbound Route 2 are closed at the intersection to Delaware Park Drive. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel. The road closure is anticipated to be lengthy, with no estimated time for a re-opening.
