Delaware State Police have arrested 60-year-old Kimberly Trabbold, from Wilmington, Delaware, after an attempted armed robbery at a Newark Dollar Tree on Monday.
On November 17, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., troopers responded to the Dollar Tree, located at 1307 Churchmans Road, in Newark, for a report of an armed robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that Kimberly Trabbold entered the store and walked around for a few minutes, before approaching a cashier. Trabbold put the cashier in a headlock, pressed a knife against the cashier’s back, and demanded the cashier open the cash register. Other store employees witnessed the event and restrained Trabbold until troopers arrived and arrested her without further incident. No employees were injured.
Trabbold was taken to Troop 2 where she was charged with Attempted to Commit Robbery First Degree (Felony), arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $25,000 cash bail.
