Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred Wednesday in Newark.
On October 1, 2025, at approximately 9:36 p.m., troopers responded to AI Dupont Hospital for a report of a robbery that occurred earlier on Christiana Road. The preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 5:00 p.m., a 16-year-old male was riding his skateboard on Christiana Road, near Old Baltimore Pike, when he was approached by three unknown male suspects. The suspects demanded the victim’s property, and a physical altercation ensued. During the fight, the suspects assaulted the victim with a metal object, took his property, and fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Detective D.
