*Update – Suspect Arrested* Detectives Investigating Claymont M&T Bank Robbery

The Delaware State Police have arrested 66-year-old Gregory Davis of Wilmington, Delaware for a bank robbery that occurred in August 2024 at the M&T Bank in Claymont.

On August 5, 2024, at approximately 10:45 a.m., troopers responded to the M&T Bank, located at 3530 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed an unknown white male suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note to the bank teller. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Troopers attempted to locate the suspect in the surrounding area but were unable to find him.

Through investigative means, Troop 2 Robbery Detectives identified Gregory Davis as the suspect responsible for the robbery and obtained a warrant for his arrest for multiple felony charges.

On July 14, 2025, Davis was arrested and taken to Troop 2, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $12,000 unsecured bond. He was ultimately committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $50,000 cash bond for violation of probation.
