The Delaware State Police arrested 54-year-old James Shelton of Harrington, Delaware, for felony gun and drug charges following a search warrant at a residence in Harrington on Tuesday.
On April 8, 2025, members of the Kent County Drug Unit, Kent County Governor’s Task Force, and Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Kings Court in Harrington. The search warrant was obtained following a drug investigation of James Shelton, who was suspected of the large-scale distribution of narcotics. Shelton and a 35-year-old Harrington woman were taken into custody at the residence without incident.
A search of the property led to the discovery of the following items:
The 35-year-old woman was charged with a misdemeanor offense. Shelton was taken to Troop 3, where he was charged with multiple crimes.
Shelton was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released after posting on a $22,500 secured bond.
