Superintendent Colonel William D. Crotty
Delaware State Police have arrested 57-year-old Jeffrey Marvil of Laurel, Delaware, for 6th offense felony DUI and related traffic offenses.
On March 13, 2025, at approximately 12:34 p.m., a trooper on patrol saw a black Chevrolet pick-up traveling westbound on Camp Road in Laurel. The trooper saw the pick-up had an unsecured load of wood and metal in the bed, driving slowly, and a computer check showed that the registration displayed was fictitious. The trooper pulled the truck over and spoke to the driver, identified as Jeffrey Marvil, who showed signs of impairment. The trooper administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and after the tests, Marvil was arrested for driving under the influence. After a search of Marvil and the pick-up, troopers found 19 Losartan Potassium pills and 2 Gabapentin pills.
A computer check showed that Marvil had five prior DUI-related convictions and a revoked driver’s license. He was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,404 cash bond.
