State Police Detectives Investigating Armed Robbery in Dover

The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night in Dover.

On June 17, 2024, at approximately 9:42 p.m., troopers responded to an armed robbery on South State Street near Cool Springs Drive in Dover. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 16-year-old victim was riding his bike on South State Street when he was approached by a black male suspect. The suspect pushed the victim off his bike, pointed a gun at him, and took his property. The suspect fled the area in an unknown vehicle. The victim was not hurt during the incident.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective J. Sydnor by calling 302-698-8540. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
