Bank of America, Concord Pike

The Delaware State Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle that occurred yesterday afternoon in a bank parking lot in Wilmington.

On April 29, 2024, at approximately 2:33 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a theft from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Bank of America located at 5215 Concord Pike, Wilmington. The investigation revealed two unknown male suspects distracted the victim by falsely claiming her car’s tire was on fire as she was driving out of the bank’s parking lot. While the victim stopped and checked on her tire, one of the suspects entered her car and stole money that the victim had just withdrawn from the bank. The suspects then fled on foot towards Concord Pike.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males. As of now, surveillance video and images of the suspects are not available.

Delaware State Police Troop 1 Troopers are still investigating this incident. Troopers are asking anyone with information about this case to contact Trooper C. Holzwarth by calling (302) 761-6677.
