Troopers Arrest Man for Residential Burglary

The Delaware State Police have arrested 33-year-old Bradley Shores of Dover, Delaware for burglarizing a residence in Dover yesterday afternoon.

On March 28, 2023, at approximately 12:14 p.m., troopers responded to the 100 block of President Drive for a report of a residential burglary. Troopers learned that the homeowner had been renovating the residence for some time, and when he returned to the property he saw that the lock to the back door had been damaged. When the homeowner went through the back door, suspect Bradley Shores ran out the front door of the home and went into a different house a short distance away. Troopers were able to locate Shores and take him into custody without incident. Shores was in possession of a large and concealed fixed blade knife at the time of his arrest.

Shores was taken to Troop 3 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Burglary Second Degree (Felony)
  • Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (Felony)
  • Attempted Theft Under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief

Shores was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was released on $7,500 unsecured bond. Shores was later committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a Violation of Probation warrant issued by Probation & Parole.
