Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a New Castle area tobacco store that occurred yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:41 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022, at the DOT Discount Tobacco store, located at 1422 North Dupont Highway, New Castle, when troopers responded for a report of a robbery. Investigation determined a male suspect entered the store carrying a trash bag and approached the rear sales counter.
