Laurel – Delaware State Police are on the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash involving a tanker truck that occurred at approximately 11:18 p.m. this evening, February 4, 2022, on Laurel Road east of Shiloh Church Road.

As a result of the crash, Laurel Road is closed between Hitch Pond Road and Shiloh Church Road for emergency response vehicles on scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of travel. The road closure is anticipated to be lengthy, with no estimated time for a re-opening.
