Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect- Newark

Newark- Delaware State Police is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the pictured suspect who is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred at a drug store the end of May.

On May 23, 2021 at approximately 12:40 p.m., troopers responded to the Walgreen’s located at 2719 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE, 19702 for a robbery. The initial investigation determined the suspect entered the business and approached an employee at the sales counter. The suspect verbally demanded money from the register.  The employee complied and provided an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot toward Pulaski Highway.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a light to medium skinned black male, approximately 20-30 years old, with a receding hairline, wearing an orange gaiter-style mask, black t-shirt, gray jogger pants, and black Nikes with white accents.
