*Update-Suspect Identified and Arrested* Delaware State Police Investigating Convenience Store Robbery- Dover

Dover, DE- Delaware State Police arrested John L. Walstrum, 29, of Dover, for a convenience store robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon. 

On June 2, 2021, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Walstrum entered the Wawa convenience store located at 1525 E. Lebanon Road, Dover. Once at the check-out counter, the suspect demanded money from the female cashier. The cashier complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled out the front door of the business. No one was injured during the incident. Through investigative leads, John L. Walstrum was identified as the suspect wanted in connection to this robbery. On June 4, 2021, Delaware State Police Detectives arrested Walstrum for the WAWA robbery, and he was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree (Felony). Walstrum was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released on his own recognizance.
