New Castle– Delaware State Police are currently conducting a criminal investigation in the area of the 3000 block of New Castle Avenue (Route 9), New Castle. As a result, there will be a heavy police presence in the area. There is a road closure on Route 9, starting at West Avenue and ending at Lambson Lane. 

The investigation is in the early stages and further updates will be released at a later time.
