Lewes- Delaware State Police are investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred Saturday night.

Delaware State Police responded to the Uncle Willie’s BP Station located at 17580 Coastal Highway, Lewes, for a robbery. The investigation determined the suspect entered the business at approximately 9:09 p.m. and waits inside the store until other customers leave. He then approaches the store counter, gives the clerk a plastic bag, and demands money to be put into it as he displays a handgun. The cashier complied, and the suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident. 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’2″- 6’5″, thin build, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and pants.
