Wilmington- The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Wilmington area Restaurant earlier today.
The incident occurred on March 28, 2020 at approximately 1:15 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the El Diablo Restaurant located at 1812 Marsh Road, Wilmington, for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, Troopers met with an employee who advised that a subject had entered the business and approached the cash register. The suspect informed the employee that he had a gun and displayed what appeared to be a handgun in his waistband. The suspect proceeded to take the tip jar and fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as a mixed male, possibly being black or Hispanic, between 5’11”-6’0″ tall, between 30-35 years of age, and wearing dark colored clothing.
