Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest- Milton

Milton, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested two subjects on drug charges after they were stopped for a traffic violation in Milton on Tuesday afternoon.

At approximately 3:11 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, a Trooper who was on routine patrol in the area of Harbeson Rd. and Cool Spring Rd. stopped a gray, Toyota Tundra due to traffic violations. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle the Trooper was able to identify the driver as Harry D. Johnson Jr., 52 of Milton and a 48 year old female passenger from Harbeson. Upon investigation the Trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the drivers window of the vehicle.

Both occupants were removed and a subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. The following was located inside the vehicle and was seized as evidence.

-Approximately .57 grams of Methamphetamine

-Approximately .67 grams of Hash

-Approximately 13.46 grams of Marijuana

-Over $2300.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to Troop 7.

Johnson was charged with the following:

  • Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
  • Conspiracy 3rd Degree
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts)
  • Failure to Signal Continuously
  • Failure to Obey a Traffic Device

Johnson was arraigned and released on $ 13,200.00 unsecure bond.

The female passenger was charged with misdemeanor offenses:

  • Conspiracy 3rd Degree
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

She was arraigned and released on $2,000.00 unsecure bond.
