Troopers Investigating Shooting – New Castle

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the New Castle neighborhood of Minquadale, early this afternoon.

The initial investigation has determined that at approximately 12:37 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020, a 2o year old male was seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle which was parked in the area of Hazeldell Avenue and Milford St., Minquadale. An unknown suspect fired a single round into the vehicle striking the victim. An adult male passenger who was also in the front seat was not injured. The male victim drove himself to an area hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his shoulder.

There is no suspect description nor motive for the shooting at this time.
