Middletown – The Delaware State Police are currently operating at a residence located in the 1900 block of Middleneck Rd., Middletown, in reference to an armed subject, that barricaded himself on the property just after 6:00 a.m., this morning, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Affected residences in the adjacent area have been evacuated as a precautionary measure. As a result of the ongoing operation there are the following road closures:

• Middleneck Rd. between Warwick Rd. (DE 299) and Old Telegraph Rd.
• Warwick Rd. (DE 299) between Rt. 301 (Exit 2) and the Maryland line.
