Selbyville– The Delaware State Police are currently conducting a death investigation after skeletal remains were located in a wooded area off of Polybranch Road.
On March 2, 2020 at approximately 6:12 p.m., Troopers responded to Polybranch Road just north of Roxana Road, Selbyville, after an individual discovered human remains in a wooded area. Detectives responded to the wooded area and confirmed them to be human skeletal remains.
The remains have been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science where an autopsy will be performed to determine the identification and cause and manner of death.
The case continues to remain under investigation and there is no concern for public safety at this time.
