Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that took place in the parking lot of a Concord Pike business that occurred Wednesday night.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the parking lot of the Pep Boys, located at 2904 Concord Pike, Wilmington. A 36 year old male and a 33 year old female were seated in their vehicle in the parking lot of the Pep Boys while performing minor maintenance. Two male suspects one of which was armed with a handgun approached the vehicle and began banging on the passenger side door attempting to make forcible entry. The female was able to exit the vehicle and fled unharmed. The armed suspect entered the vehicle via the passenger door and began physically assaulting the male victim while demanding the contents of his pockets. The victim complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects then fled on foot into a wooded area behind the business. The male victim refused medical treatment for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
The suspects were described as black males wearing all dark clothing.
