Troopers Investigating Shooting – New Castle

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating a double shooting that took place at a New Castle area auto repair business on Monday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2019 at Car Solutions, located at 465 Marina Lane, New Castle. The two male victims, ages 29 and 34, were working on vehicles inside the garage of the business when two male suspects entered. A verbal altercation ensued between the suspects and the 29 year old victim during which the suspects fired multiple rounds, striking both victims. After the shooting the suspects fled in a dark colored vehicle, southbound on Rt. 9.

The 34 year old victim drove both himself and the 29 year old victim to an area hospital where they were treated for the gunshot wounds. The 29 year old sustained gunshots to the abdominal area, leg and hand, and is listed in critical condition. The 34 year old sustained a single gunshot wound to his arm.

The suspects could only be described as Hispanic males.
