Troopers Investigating Knifepoint Robbery – Claymont

Claymont – The Delaware State Police are investigating a knifepoint robbery that took place at a Claymont area dollar store on Monday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:51 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Dollar General store, located at 2605 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont. A male suspect with his face concealed and in possession of a knife, confronted an employee at the sales counter and demanded cash. The victim complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect who then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, wearing a red shirt, gray pants and a light colored fabric covering his face.
