Troopers Investigating Motor-Bike Robbery – Newark

Newark – The Delaware State Police are investigating the strong arm robbery of a motorized mini-bike that took place in the parking lot of a Newark area gas station late Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., Monday, October 14, 2019 in the rear parking lot of the Shell gas station, located at 380 E. Chestnut Hill Rd. Newark. The 21 year old male victim was approached by a male suspect who engaged him in a conversation about the mini, self-built, kit motor-bike. As the victim was leaving he was dragged off the bike by the suspect who then drove off on it. The victim gave chase but was unsuccessful in catching up to the suspect. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’7”-6’00” tall, 150-180 lbs., wearing all dark clothing. No surveillance images are available at this time.
