Troopers Attempting to Identify Robbery Suspect – Wilmington

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in mid-August and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019, on the sidewalk in front of a residence in the 4400 block of N. Market St., Wilmington. The pictured suspect approached the male victim as he sat on the steps of the residence, displayed a knife and demanded jewelry. The victim refused to comply with the demand and a brief struggle ensued. The suspect was able to obtain the jewelry and then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years of age, 6’00” tall, with what appeared to be “star” tattoos on his shoulders.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts are asked to contact Detective T. Dukes of the Troop 2 Robbery Unit by calling 302-365-8412.
