Troopers Investigating Armed Robbery of New Castle Gas Station

New Castle (19720)-  The Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a New Castle, DE Exxon gas station that took place earlier today.

The incident occurred on September 1, 2019 at approximately 10:47 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Exxon located at 400 Pulaski Highway, New Castle, for a report of a robbery.  Upon arrival, Troopers met with a store employee who advised that an unknown suspect had approached him as he was behind the counter.  The suspect displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money.  The victim complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money prior to the suspect fleeing the area on foot.  There were no injuries reported during this incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, thin build, approximately 6’00” tall, 150 lbs., wearing a dark color hooded sweatshirt and in possession of an unknown type of handgun.
