Troopers Attempting To Locate Robbery Suspect Frank R. Torres- New Castle

New Castle (19720)-  The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred yesterday and are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Frank R. Torres who is wanted in connection.

The incident occurred on July 20, 2019, at approximately 3:03 p.m., when Troopers responded to the Walmart located at 117 Wilton Boulevard, New Castle for a report of a robbery.  Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with a 49-year-old male victim who indicated he had been robbed.  Further investigation revealed that while the victim was in the restroom, he was grabbed by Torres who was displaying a knife.  A brief struggle ensued and Torres obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone from the victim prior to fleeing the scene.  The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment.

Troopers have been unable to locate Torres who currently has active warrants out of Troop 2 for the following:

  • Robbery First Degree
  • Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony.
