Troopers Investigating Shooting Incident – Magnolia

Magnolia, Delaware – The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning.

The preliminary investigation has determined that on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at approximately 3:18 a.m., Troop 3, Camden was contacted by the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for a shooting incident. Troopers responded to the hospital and contacted a 34-year-old male of Magnolia who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to a lower extremity. It was learned the victim was transported to the hospital by a privately owned vehicle. It was also reported to have occurred in the unit block of Woodville Drive, Magnolia. There is no suspect information at this time.

This investigation is active and ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Troop 3, Camden at (302) 697-4454 or Detective T.
