Troopers Investigating Shots Fired Incident – Felton

Felton, Delaware – The Delaware State Police are investigating a single gunshot into a residence that occurred Friday night north of Felton.

The initial investigation has determined that on Friday, June 21, 2019, at approximately 8:15 p.m. troopers responded to the unit block of Appalachian Drive, Felton for a report of a single gunshot. The resident reported he was sitting in his living room when he heard a loud noise towards his bedroom.  He walked in and turned on the bedroom light to observe drywall pieces on his bed and rug.  He looked up to observe a hole in the wall, appearing to be from a projectile.  He then looked down towards the entrance of his room and observed a bullet on the carpet.

The neighborhood was canvassed and neighbors report a single gunshot sound was heard from the north side of the residence. At this time there have been no reported injuries that can be associated with the incident.
