New Castle (19720)- The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a convenience store this morning.
The incident occurred on June 7, 2019 at approximately 9:00 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Shell convenience store located at 299 Christiana Road, New Castle, in reference to a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the store clerk who advised that a male suspect had entered the business and proceeded to walk behind the counter. The suspect approached the cash register and ordered the clerk to open it. The clerk complied with the suspects demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash prior to the suspect fleeing the scene.
The suspect was described as a black male wearing all dark clothing.
