Hockessin, Delaware – The Delaware State Police are on scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer that occurred at approximately 11:41 a.m. today, on SR 41 northbound and SR 48. As a result SR 41 is closed off due to the overturned tractor trailer. The road will be closed off for an extended period of time due to crews removing the load from the trailer and wrecker crew towing the tractor trailer. Preliminary investigation has determined the operator was driving at an unsafe speed and losing control while making a left turn. The operator of the Tractor Trailer has been removed from the scene and transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Northbound traffic is being diverted to Lovebille Road.
The investigation is in the early stages with further details being released as they become available.
