Troopers Investigate Shooting Incident-New Castle

New Castle (19720)- The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred last evening.

The incident occurred on April 12, 2019 at approximately 9:30 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to the Star Center, located at 3125 New Castle Avenue, for a report of a shooting.  Prior to police arrival, it was learned that two victims had been transported via a personal vehicle to the Wilmington Hospital.

Troopers made contact with the victims, a 28-year old male of Middletown and a 26-year-old male of Wilmington at the hospital.  It was reported that both victims were standing out front of the Keno Tobacco Shop when they heard gunshots and soon thereafter realized they were shot.

Both victims were transported to the hospital by an acquaintance with whom they were with.  One of the victims sustained a grazed gunshot wound and was released.  The second victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

There is no suspect information at this time.
