Troopers Investigating Fatal Crash-Millsboro

Millsboro- The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash involving a single vehicle that occurred earlier today.

The incident occurred on March 20, 2019 at approximately 3:34 p.m., when a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling eastbound on Lowes Crossing Road (CR 61), just east of Pear Tree Road (CR 424). For unknown reasons, the Equinox exited the roadway and struck a large standing tree.

The driver, an 80-year-old female from Millsboro was properly restrained.  She was transported to PRMC in Salisbury where she was later pronounced deceased.  Her name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

The crash continues to remain under investigation by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit. 

Lowes Crossing Road was closed for approximately 3 hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
