*Update* State Police Conducting Death Investigation-Laurel

Laurel- The Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the suspicious death of an adult female victim.

The investigation began on March 9, 2019 at approximately 7:24 a.m., when Troopers were dispatched to S. Shell Bridge Road in the area of Broad Creek Estates for a victim that was found deceased on the side of the roadway.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate this incident and are working closely with the Delaware Division of Forensic Science to determine the identity of the victim and the cause and manner of death.

There has been no other suspicious activity reported in the area at this time.  The Delaware State Police, Troop 5 along with allied agencies have increased their patrols in the area.

The Delaware State Police are urging citizens to report any suspicious activity.  Suspicious activity reporting can be reported to Delaware’s Anti-Terrorism Tip Line by calling 1-800-FORCE-12, e-mailing, or contacting local law enforcement agencies.
