Troopers Investigating Shoplifting Turned Robbery – North Wilmington

Wilmington (19803) – The Delaware State Police are investigating a shoplifting turned robbery in which an employee was bit by the fleeing suspect, and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:59 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Target department store, located at 1050 Brandywine Parkway, Wilmington. The pictured male suspect was observed by employees exiting the business with merchandise which he had not paid for. When the employee made contact with the suspect outside the business and attempted to recover the merchandise, he was bit on the hand. The suspect then fled on foot towards Naaman’s Rd. The employee was treated at an area hospital for injuries sustained in the incident.
