Troopers Investigating North Wilmington Gas Station Robbery

Wilmington – The Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a north Wilmington Exxon station that took place Monday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Exxon located at 5301 Concord Pike, Wilmington. A male suspect approached an employee at the sales counter while brandishing a can of pepper spray and demanded cigarettes. The employee complied with the demand and turned over multiple cartons of cigarettes to the suspect who then exited the business and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a black male, 30-35 years of age, 6’00” tall, average build, wearing all dark clothing to include a knit cap.
