Wilmington (19804) – The Delaware State Police have charged Jason W. Carroll, 31 of Wilmington with multiple weapons and traffic related offenses after he was involved in a collision while under the influence of alcohol.
At approximately 10:24 p.m., on Friday, November 23, 2018 Troopers responded to Centerville Rd. in the area of Boxwood Rd., for the report of a three vehicle crash. The investigation determined that a 2012 Ford F-350 pick-up truck operated by Carroll had rear ended a 2008 Dodge Nitro, which was then forced into a 2001 Honda Odyssey. Upon making contact with Carroll, Troopers could smell an odor of alcohol at which time they initiated a DUI investigation. The subsequent investigation determined that Carroll was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and that he has three prior convictions for DUI. A search of the passenger compartment of Carroll’s pick-up truck produced a 7.62 Norinco Samozaryadny Karabin (SKS) rifle along with 2 fully loaded 30 round magazines.
Carroll was taken in to custody without incident and then transported to Troop 6 where he was charged with the following offenses:
He was then arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #2 and released after posting $3000.00 secured bond.
