Stanton – The Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Stanton gas station, Thursday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:54 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Exxon gas station located at 414 Main St., Stanton. A male suspect with his face concealed entered the business while brandishing a handgun, confronted an employee and customer at the sales counter, and demanded cash. The employee complied with the demand and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled on foot in an unknown direction. Neither the employee nor the customer were injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’9” tall, wearing all dark clothing to include a hood and cloth covering his face. He was in possession of a black, unknown make and model handgun.
