Troopers Investigating Armed Robbery – New Castle

New Castle – The Delaware State Police are investigating the armed robbery of a New Castle area Burger King that took place Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Burger King, located at 1530 N. DuPont Highway, in the area of Wilmington Manor. The suspect accessed the business through the drive thru window and confronted two employees in the manager’s office. The suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The victims complied with the demand by turning over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then exited the business and was last seen on foot towards Boulden Blvd. Neither victim was injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male, 5’9”-5’10” tall, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a dark cloth covering his face and in possession of a black and silver handgun.
